Over a year ago I gave my business school this |
Then they gave me a photograph of myself with watermarks on it because they needed more money for the photo. (That's why they're a Bidnes Skool) |

On my birthday I gave my guests lots of this |

So I could win some of these |
Have a great weekend everyone and good luck and lot's of mojo in your races!
Addendum:
My first Garmin-tracked Run 11.05k (6.9mi) at 7:30/k (12:15/mi) pace.
Congrats on graduating!!!
ReplyDeleteI never tried using vodka to get a mice present, maybe I will try this to get race wheels.
Best wishes with the coach!
ReplyDeleteSweet! Maybe someday I'll be cool enough to have a Garmin.
ReplyDeleteNice. Except I wasn't invited to the vodka party (but then again I didn't go in on the Garmin, so...)
ReplyDeleteVodka = running gear. Very good to know.
ReplyDeleteI have Garmin envy! I can't wait to hear about your experiences with a coach...
ReplyDeleteNot to rain on your parade, but I think all the medals in Vancouver were already handed out. Keep hitting that vodka, I guess. Oh, and send me a similar check and I guarantee you I will send you a photo of yourself for free.
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Birthday! Looking forward to reading all about your experiences with your coach.
ReplyDeleteYAY you!
ReplyDeleteFun post!
Did you get them so drunk they were leaving money?! I think that one needs more explaining.
Congratulations on your Graduation! I love cause & effect Friday! It's great, I love the Vodka/Garmin, I may try that on my Bday! ;) Happy Belated Bday!
ReplyDeleteDoes Craig T Nelson know you 'Got' him? you make a nice couple.
ReplyDeleteNice hardware! I'm tempted to see whether rye can deliver the same results when my birthday comes in a few weeks...maybe I'll have to settle for the 305? ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha loved the post. Thanks for dumbing it down for me and using pictures to tell the story :)
ReplyDeleteGood job on the 405. Keep up the good work man. One foot in front of the other!
Don't send $85K to Kovas, I'll give you a non watermarked photo for at least $75K less. Way to put that Garmin to the test.
ReplyDeleteI need to jump in here and clarify.
ReplyDeleteAll guests drank Vodka in cocktails. The inner circle (and I) sipped Glenfiddich Reserve 18 between shots of vodka. The ladies, nieces, nephews (of drinking age) went through liqueurs, cocktails, wine and some beer.
Dinner was BBQ chicken, ribs, sirloin skewers, salads, rice, potatoes, and lots of cakes and sweets my mother-in-law and wife backed. My wife makes this amazing carrot cake that I ask for each birthday.
Then we had a bonfire in the back and we sipped on some VSOP while roasting marshmallows and chestnuts. Mind you I don't drink again until my wife's birthday in December, where as my in-laws go off to do this every other weekend with some other family member or friend.
I don't know if I got the present because I was a good host or if I limited their drinking in some way? Dunno. The drinkers didn't drive home and I had to clean the house until 1 am on Sunday evening. My wife worked continuously all day Sunday and I didn't even thank her!
Yay for the Garmin and the Coach!!
ReplyDeleteAndrew...I've been waiting ages for this post. Before this post so much was unclear. Thing is...you've got a pretty bad ass Garmin running watch. It's make good bidniss sencse to gt as much value out of that bad boy as possible. Give me a shout when you're planning out your races for 2011.
ReplyDeleteMan, I am so GLAD you write big checks!! Woohooo, Boston here I come!
ReplyDeleteWow what an awesome birthday! Awesome fun post. I have the same Garmin, I LOVE it. :)
ReplyDeleteAh yes, Bidnes Skool. Been there!
ReplyDeleteAren't Garmins fun??
Congrats! I have that same cap/gown/is it called a collar? hanging in the closet....thinking of pulling it out for Halloween...
ReplyDeleteLet me know when I need to buy my Olympic tix!
Garmin, coach, tracking....I see big things in your future. Oh wait...there is lots of liquor too....cancel out that first part. :)
ReplyDeletelurve my garmin...enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME GARMIN!! YES IM YELLING CUZ I'M SUPER JEALOUS!!! ok, I'm done lol... nice run ;)
ReplyDeleteNice garmin! aren't they fun?!
ReplyDeleteI am such a data freak. hence, I cannot run without my Garmin. Haha! can't wait to hear about your experience with the coach =)
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great birthday. I've got a Garmin watch on my birthday wish list you lucky young thing for actually having one!
ReplyDelete::thumbs up::
ReplyDeleteI may or may not have printed off a few copies of that check and tried to cash them. No luck - yet.
ReplyDeleteSuper jealous of your 405. Although, you'll never go back to non-garmin running. Once you have one of those it is way to hard to get away from the data!
Congrats on your graduation.
ReplyDeleteNow that bottle seems awfully familiar. :) Would drinking that count as carbo-loading? Sto lat.
You had me at "wokda"!
ReplyDelete3 cheers for graduation! 3 cheers for Garmins! 3 cheers for medals!
Cheers all around I say!
