I ran over a half marathon today. Wow am I sore.
Jill had me down for 11 Miles with different pace intervals, when I did the math I got 12, I mapped out a run for 13, then ran almost 14.
I set a 1/2 Marathon Training PR of 2:47:08. Not the best time in the world, but it will work as a target to improve upon over time. When I was running back, cooling down, with the lovely blizzard snow biting my face in the strong wind, I though if I just laid down on the overpass I would most probably be moving faster than I am shuffling. A snail and two turtles passed me.
Don't forget to join the 2-minute Burpee Challenge!!!!
That is awesome!!! You run at my pace...be proud!! ;) Not everyone can go out and run almost 14 miles, fast, slow or whatever! You rock!!
ReplyDeleteYes, but the snail and turtles were really really fast in your defense.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the run Andrew!
Good work dude!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! That's how I feel at the end of my runs. I've got 12 scheduled for today, which I'll run tomorrow, but I won't run any extra if I can help it. :)
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!
ReplyDeleteLove the poll :D
I will be putting in a new Burpee effort in the next few days, I've decided I can move my booty a lot faster :)
I charge double per mile when you go over what's on the plan. I did mention that, right? :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent job Andrew! Keep up the excellent work, love the title of your post.
ReplyDeleteGood job Andrew! I'm impressed with your motivation. Were the snail and turtle hitching a ride on a horse when they passed you?
ReplyDeleteUm, I'm calling BS on the snail and turtle passing you. I've never seen either in a blizzard. You sure it was a few kids out causing trouble???
ReplyDeleteGreat run BTW!!! So awesome!!!! And the title of this race, or run rather cracked me up!!
Wow, that rocks!
ReplyDeleteYou are now allowed to drink like 20-50's tomorrow during SuperBowl. Good job Wannabe!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job and keep going man, it is a lot of fun to watch your journey.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! You used to say you'd only ever run 5ks and now you're out there doing half marathon distance during a training run. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteAwesome half-marathon time!! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Andrew.
ReplyDeleteRemember those days when you were running just 3 miles. WOW! Just oozing awesomeness.
Nice job Andrew! Snails and turtles are faster than they use to be.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive!! Gosh, I'll remember the conditions you ran in and use that to convince myself I can run 10 miles in the sunshine tomorrow! I don't know how you can do all that running in that kind of weather. Kudos to you!!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing amazing - I am so impressed!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Andrew! That is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing progress. I am just sorry to hear that blizzard made you hallucinate. You do realize that snails and turtles don't train in winter, right? :)
ReplyDeleteHappy running to you.
congrats!!
ReplyDeleteYou now have a benchmark. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI do not envy your running conditions.
Running into the wind in blizzard conditions must suck. When we have a little wind and rain I'm a baby. Great job with the run.
ReplyDeleteI bet you are a lot faster than in think, there is always the fear of falling that makes you run slower in the snow.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a job well done
You did great, especially with the weather conditions!
ReplyDeleteI ran 12 today and did NOT enjoy the winter running as much with the soft soft snow! I was whipped! I get you about the shuffling!
ReplyDeleteHey that is awesome!! Way to go!! It isn't easy AT ALL running in those conditions. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteI don't forget.
ReplyDeleteAnother half under your belt, congrats.
:) Now look at you, a distance runner. So when does the blog title change?
