D-Day-1: Thanks Everyone ...

Thank you everyone for the cheering, wooting and general whoop-ass-conveyance!

The strategy was clearly summed up in the last post but my milestones and times look like this:

Milestone Target Pace
Start 5:53 min/k
1k 5:53 min/k
2k 5:53 min/k
3k 5:50 min/k
4k 5:50 min/k
4.5k 5:20 min/k

My goal is to finish in 29:04 (old PR from Dec11 was 30:48)

Weather prognosis is 3°C (37°F ) with rain/snow mix.  See you all on the other side ... and thanks for the mojo!

  3. At 29:04, I'll look forward to trying to keep up with you when I visit your area! Keep that first K no faster than target; then you can fly on the last one! Good luck, Star Runner :))) Ann

  4. Do or do, there is no try.....and not do not.

    Knock 'em dead

Break a leg (but don't really)

  5. I have really enjoyed your last two posts since a sub-30 5K is my current goal. I like how you have figured out your splits! Good luck / best wishes on your 5K PR tomorrow and looking forward to your post about it. :)

  7. I'll be thinking of you as I slog through a few miles tomorrow morning in the lung-bursting heat and humidity that is Florida. Tough for me. Good luck! Can't wait to hear about it.
