Burlington 5k Race Report

Target pace: 6:11 (9:57 / mi)

Splitpace/kpace/mi
1 K5:539:24
2 K6:129:56
3 K*6:2210:12
4 K6:099:51
5 K6:079:47
* water stop

Avg HR: 150
Max HR: 166

I fought with myself from about 3.5k to about 4.75k.  But a strong (coaching!) voice kept telling me "you've been killing your speed work" and I kept speeding up to match/surpass my target pace.

It was AWESOME !!!

  9. Sheesh, Andrew....and you were once worried about pre-race warm-up drills. Looks like you got that down - perfect dynamic stretching if I do say so myself!!!

    In the words of the good Doctor S: Oh the places you'll go. Congrats, buddy - very proud of you!!

  12. Congrats again! that middle part is always the hardest part for me as well. You're into the lactate building part of the race but you're not within 1 mi of the finish. Way to not talk your way out of a PR! sub 30 here you come.

  21. That looks like a blast... but not so good for the spectators... I imagine telling them that you're the guy in the red suit doesn't help much!!! Congrats on the PR!

  22. Your outfit is awesome, Andrew, and your ability to compile and edit video footage in such a short amount of time is pretty badas$.

    It looks like you're rocking some good times, too!
