I fought with myself from about 3.5k to about 4.75k. But a strong (coaching!) voice kept telling me "you've been killing your speed work" and I kept speeding up to match/surpass my target pace.
It was AWESOME !!!
Whoo hoo! Go, Andrew - look at you consistently under the double digits (we'll ignore the water stop)!
ReplyDeleteWhoop whoop! I got all choked up watching your video. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool!!! Fabulous video - I want to do that race now, too!

ReplyDeleteThat Santa suit looked really hot, even for Canada ;)
I couldn't watch the whole video since I have the worst internet connection known to mank ind, but I loved watch the Santa's take off!
ReplyDeleteCat's and dogs whaaa?
Great video! Seeing all those running Santas is pretty funny! Congrats again on your PR!!
ReplyDeleteSheesh, Andrew....and you were once worried about pre-race warm-up drills. Looks like you got that down - perfect dynamic stretching if I do say so myself!!!
ReplyDeleteIn the words of the good Doctor S: Oh the places you'll go. Congrats, buddy - very proud of you!!
Awesome!!! That is just so cool having everyone wear the santa suit! I'm impressed you were able to PR in such an outfit!!! Hats off Santa Andrew!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your PR!
Congrats again! that middle part is always the hardest part for me as well. You're into the lactate building part of the race but you're not within 1 mi of the finish. Way to not talk your way out of a PR! sub 30 here you come.
ReplyDeleteYou are so freaking awesome!! Nice job!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! The video brought a smile to my face! A smiler wider than any McD's pancakes would bring.
ReplyDeleteGreat joob Andrew! Congrats on a PR! And how hot was that santa suit?
ReplyDeleteGreat Job! I alway think to myself, "run like hell until I almost puke at the end" Yes, I know gross.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, man. Which Santa is you?
ReplyDeleteThat is so great! What fun and you still ran an awesome race! Really great!

ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!!
ReplyDeleteLove the video - that's a LOT of Santas!
ReplyDeleteWay to PR...The only guy I know who can do it in a Santa suit. Put my name down for next year.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! I've never seen so many santas in one place! I don't know how you managed to run that fast in that suit!! You looked great!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a blast... but not so good for the spectators... I imagine telling them that you're the guy in the red suit doesn't help much!!! Congrats on the PR!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is awesome, Andrew, and your ability to compile and edit video footage in such a short amount of time is pretty badas$.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're rocking some good times, too!
Catching up on blogs lately.
ReplyDeleteLOVED this race report beyond any other ones I have read hahaha!
PR BOOYAH!
Looking good too man (in a non gay way). Looks like you are slimming down.
Keep up the good work and keep pushing yourself, you are gonna have to change your blog title soon :)
