11k & IOUs

Did 11k (6.9 miles) this morning.  The run was a lot like a bulldog lapping up mayonnaise - it wasn't pretty but it got the job done.  The humidity was strong as soon as I opened the door - 25°C (77°F) feels like 33°C (91°F).  Sucked down my bottle of water by half-time!  I don't usually drink before mid-way.

IOUs:
  1. I owe James at the Runner's Bug some way of getting him motivated into exercising (he has some down time due to a slight illness so the pressure is not too high on this).  I think 3 will solve this.
  2. I owe Jimmy at Run, Jimmy, Run a vlog response to his very kind question.
  3. I owe all my running friends a breakdown of the online apps I found for tracking training.
  4. I owe Luke a response to another blog virus (soon these things will say if you don't send it to X people one of your eyes will drop out! or your "H" key will drop off of your keyboard!)

I agree about the blog awards and tags games (despite the fact i'm participating) they remind me of chain letters.

Bulldog lapping up mayonaise??? I gag at the mental image.

Oh but that bulldog is so cute! Glad you got the run done--I struggled in the humidity yesterday but today is a new cool day!

Maybe not pretty but it makes you tough. Every run has something good in it for us.

11k!?>!?! Niiiiiiiiiice.

Blog viruses are SO fun. Besides, I don't want my computer to explode if I don't tag 10 people.

Andrew, Thanks for stopping by my site. Congrats on the latest achievement with the EMBA. I have thought hard on whether or not to attend college again. Nice French Bulldog there. Way to go on the run. I see through your DM the nice progression of miles per week. (I meant km, sorry). I bet you will smash that 5K with a stellar performance.

Great visual with the dog and mayo. My run today was hard. It was hot and humid and I felt like the dog, but without enthusiasm. BTW, 45 isn't old and after awhile many of the runs won't leave you sore. Maybe creaky in the morning though. :)
